Ferrule Replacement Meucci Black Dot

Here is the process of fitting a replacement ferrule onto a low deflection shaft.

The ferrule had a deep scratch from a tip trimming tool.

It was cosmetic only, but unsightly.

Here is how the old ferrule looked with the scratch, original
Tip was removed with a blade. Tip Off
The cue was placed in a precision collet and chucked in the lathe to remove the old ferrule. tip gone
The Tomahawk ferrule was roughed out and bored to suit the cue then glued in place. ferrule on
The ferrule was turned to the correct diameter, then the tip was fitted. This is an Ultraskin medium. glue tip
Last thing to do was to cut the radius on the tip and varnish the sides. Looks much better! all done
