Here is the process of fitting a replacement ferrule onto a low deflection shaft.
The ferrule had a deep scratch from a tip trimming tool.
It was cosmetic only, but unsightly.

| Here is how the old ferrule looked with the scratch, |

| Tip was removed with a blade. |

| The cue was placed in a precision collet and chucked in the lathe to remove the old ferrule. |
|
|
| The Tomahawk ferrule was roughed out and bored to suit the cue then glued in place. |
|
|
| The ferrule was turned to the correct diameter, then the tip was fitted. This is an Ultraskin medium. |

|
| Last thing to do was to cut the radius on the tip and varnish the sides. Looks much better! |
