Timber for this cue was all imported.

Forearm is Curly Maple with Ebony points, Handle is Zebrano, and Butt Sleeve is Ebony.

This cue has red and white inlays to match the Tongan flag, honouring the new owner's heritage.

As usual, core is laminated maple and pin is Uniloc Quick Release.

Zebrano handle was turned round to start.
Then it was gun drilled to suit the core.
Ebony butt sleeve was next to turn round.
Then it was cored.
Core turned to diameter.
Glue grooves cut.
Ready for glue.
Handle glued.
Ebony butt sleeve and rings glued.
Butt threaded for cap.
Cap on and first profile cut.
Curly maple forearm added.
Forearm profiling.
Joint collar fitted.
Cutting inlay inserts from red acrylic sheet.
Cutting inlay pockets.
Inlays glued in.
Cutting pockets for points.
Final sanding.
1st coat sealer, Curly Maple forearm.
Zebrano handle and Ebony sleeve.
First finish coat.
Tapping butt for weight bolt.
Finished butt!
